I hate being sick.

I've been sick since Wednesday. Now all I have is a runny nose and a terrible lack of a voice. Of course, everyone says its my "sexy, throaty" voice...but still, I'd be happy with my normal dorky voice back.

Anyway, I'll write more later, once I have settled down at work : )

Car has a name.

Car is named J. Roe. It's a compromise between Ronessa and J. Lo. I think it works.

As for the new poll. I'm not telling about it. Those of you who were there, know all about it...the rest of you will just have to guess. Most of you have dirty imaginations anyway, so it's all good.

Krysdol, you be quiet. You keep your mouth shut until I can tell stupidhed aaron. Anna, I hope your car is ok. : /

Anything else? I don't think so...hey I'm stoked. I have UPN now, so I can resume my star trek geek duties with Enterprise. Yay!

more people on my shit list!

Dr. Clayton, on the no no not happy list you are now appended to. Join Dr. Sherman as incompetent fools who for some reason have risen to the levels of their own incompetence!

Kay, don't tell me how to do my job, and I won't criticize you on your shoddy job as interim pres. : ) I mean, REALLY! How can you be out of money in your slush fund if you're only 2 months into the job. Hello Ineptitude, how are you? : )

I feel better now.

So its been raining a lot lately.

It stopped friday night, or was it saturday? I don't remember. It just rained and rained and rained. Everything was flooded. Rollermog said the ranches between Kingsville and Corpus Christi reminded him of his days on the rice patties of southeastern Asia.

I have this to say. Too many of your people who drive are completely irresponsible. I was there driving through the water like the rest of you (it was up way high; I could feel it on the floorboards of my car), but you were pretending "I'm Mr. Bad-Ass" in your suburban. Do you realize that going 30mph through a flooded road is BAD to everyone who isn't in your goddamn suburban? Yeah, well now you do.

I'm seriously going to stop bitching in my blogs. I'm coming off as a total bitter bus driver.

Anyway, GTD was Saturday (you had to be there to know what it means) and the turkey was supergood. Kudos to Tia Berta and Beast. Rollermog's stuffing was yummy too. I ate too much. I'm also mad at Joe-sie, he f*cked up my glasses. But I forgive him. He's too much of a dork not to forgive.

Aaron was back at the club saturday after "retiring." If you call two weeks with no night at the club retirement that is. ; )

I guess that's all I have to say today, work is keeping me very busy...considering that I was out of town on thursday, and stuck in corpus christi on friday (due to the weather). So, talk to you later kids!

fuck!

Man, today is such a busy day.

I don't know what is the reasoning behind it; I guess because the weather dropped 20 degrees, suddenly everyone becomes active to make up for the lost heat. It's mad crazy around here. People be all shreddin' documents, asking me for PDFs and logos with the "E" not so cut off...wild crazy.

Stop the madness! I can't work that fast. It's my own fault really, I was too super efficient in the beginning and now its just expected of me ; )

Today at lunch, we're having our Thanksgiving lunch given to us by the friendly folks at Sodexho (the campus dining service). Turkeylicious! I just need to watch all this turkey i'm eating, or else I'll end up like Beyonce` and have too much jelly in my belly. Girl, lay off the Popeye's. It's making you jiggle when you don't want to. And I'm not ready for *that* jelly.

Ok,
thanksgiving ruled. Turkey for days. Also I got to see my grandma and my two tias, and two of my cousins that I havent' seen in ages. It was cool.

Anyway, I'm going to talk about friday afternoon. We were watching "My Dog Skip." I swear, I can't watch a movie with my mother anymore. She's too emotional at movies. When Frankie Muniz grew up and left home, she got all sad and started crying, and that made me nearly cry. BAD BAD BAD! It's a good movie though, I highly recommend it.

Check my site later, as I tell you about Fuddruckers on Friday night; that's a funny ass story.

So, Friday evening.
This is the funniest story. It actually requires me to be there, because I can't do the faces via emoticons. It just doesn't work.

Anyway, Friday night my family and I went to downtown San Antonio to see the lighting of the Christmas tree and to see the lighting of the Riverwalk. Well my cousin Valerie got hungry when we got downtown, but all the restaurants on the riverwalk werent' serving anymore, so as to prepare for the water parade.

We went to have dinner at the Fuddruckers. For those not in the know, Fuddruckers makes really good hamburgers. Well while we were waiting for dinner, I had been drinking too much icy cold beverage.

I had to pee.

Naturally, I went to excrete waste fluids in the proper place: the restroom. Well, I get down there and some kid is in the stall apparently pushing out the Titanic from his rectum. It was hilarious; he was grunting and huffing and puffing, but nothing was coming out! He was also in the handicapped stall, and was gripping the rails furiously (I could hear them being rattled) as he continued to push but to no avail.

I swear, I ran out of the restroom so quickly for fear of embarrassing the kid. I laughed all the way back to the table. I also think, if I had peeked under his stall, I would see his feet not touching the ground because he was pushing so hard.

REALLY funny. But you had to be there so you could see me turning red in the face talking about how hard he was pushing. *phew*

so,
my shortcomings aside, I'm willing to learn .asp. However, seeing as how a new phone directory needs to go live like yesterday, learning ASP is a bit time consuming and frivolous.

There's a guy in Computing and Information Services who is more or less my technical counterpart. For the moment we'll just call him "bigfatstupidhed", ok? Well, bigfatstupidhed refused to answer my e-mail a month ago about this directory and now its *my* responsibility to make this work. Bigfatstupidhed has another thing coming, let me tell you.

Oh yeah, about this whole directory thing. At the university, we have a searchable directory for faculty and staff. We just finished updating the database in access, and need to get it to CIS so they can update it online, since currently i have no idea where the database resides on the server...I dont' have magical access to the machine except via FTP.

oh well. I have to go do work. More fights to start. More battles to win. ; )

While my Guitar Gently weeps...

I woke up this morning, late as usual, and turned on Good Morning America (because I can't get enough of Diane Sawyer and Charles Gibson) and they were doing a retrospective of George Harrison.

Whenever a TV News agency does a retrospective on a famous personality, it can mean only one thing: He is dead. I was so stunned that George Harrison died. How sad. So today, I thought I'd say that he will be missed, and I'm sure my good friend ShanDar is gently weeping because george has passed on.
