As you can see, there's several songs that continue to stick on the list..most notably How Many Times. I haven't gotten enough of that one yet. And my shame continues as I keep diggin' on that Paris Hilton tune. Sad, I know.
I also finally gave in and started to like Gnarls Barkley...and no, it's not because they performed at the movie awards dressed as characters from Star Wars. It's because of the shameless performance by this kid.
Anyway, the previous lists can be found here: here (January, 2006); here (February, 2006); here (March 2006), here (April, 2006), here (May 2006). and here (June 2006).
A gift-giving opportunity

I would like to take this opportunity to inform the five people that read my website that you have an gift-giving opportunity to shower me with your love. Yes, indeed, there are 23 days until my birthday.
My twenty-first birthday.
Ok, my thirtieth birthday. Stop reminding me!
I deserve presents for not being dumb enough to die yet, y'all!
I would also like to take this opportunity to point out that my amazon.com wishlist is recently updated with perfect gift ideas...in one convenient location! It's just a thought.
No pressure or anything.
Typical dinner conversation

JReese: [to Krysdol] You know, there's something just wrong with the world when Ren is getting laid more than we are.
[Ren laughs loudly]
Waitress: [awkwardly] Can I get you some more Dr Pepper?
Jreese: Um, yeah, sure.
[Ren keeps laughing]
Krysdol: [to JReese] She totally heard you, you know.
JReese: I know, but you know what I mean.
Ren: Yeah. You're definitely in an alternate universe where I get naked with other people more than you guys do. [To JReese] If you'd like, I'll sleep with you. I mean after all I do need practice with big wangs.
JReese [sarcastically] I'll keep that in mind.

One quick thing. I noticed that in Internet Explorer the right hand rail wasn't functioning properly. I figured out what was causing it and fixed it.
So for all you people who use shitty IE to view my fabulous site, it works again. Most importantly, my amazon wish list is on there again, as well as the sideshow.
Have at em, folks.
A conversation before the movie started

Since I'm mentioning the conversation about how I'm now apparently oversexed, I figured I'd mention this conversation I recall having before watching the movie The Lake House which proves that in addition to being recently carnally satiated, I'm likely to develop potentially expensive prescription dependencies.
But anyway, back to my point: shortly before the movie starts, JReese got a text message from his father--a fairly medicated individual, from what I gather (I've never had the pleasure of meeting him)--that I'm paraphrasing below.
DadReese: I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to refill prescriptions, do you want anything?
JReese laughs because first off, whose father texts anyone? I don't think my dad even knows how to set up his voicemail message...much less an SMS message. Anyway, I look at JReese and say, "You know the answer to that question is 'YES.', right?" Kristen chimes in with "Yeah. Get some more of those green ones. Those were fun. Plus we need to refill the 'party mix', anyway."
I think my nightmare descent into booze and pills has begun. With only 17 days to go 'til my birthday!
Sorry Miss Jackson

After seeing a preview for Idlewild, I kind of decided I wasn't going to go see this movie. Don't get me wrong. I love me some OutKast; it's just, I don't know. I feel like I've seen this movie before. Black people in the living a life filled with nightclubs and jazz, in the (roughly) 1930's...it feels like I've seen this movie before.
Oh wait, I have. Ten years ago. And with better actual actors. Well in as much as Eddie Murphy can be considered an actor.
