Same old story.

You know, it's not enough that I messed up my school stuff this last semester, but in trying to remedy the situation and actually get my ass in gear, I get even more crap. Crap on a crap cracker. I've just found out that I'm on financial aid suspension for lack of hours, and it's my fault I didn't keep up with my status as charted out in the student handbook (accompianied by a rude, disparaging look). Well, I get that on Monday. I go through the necessary paperwork to get a waiver that includes a letter from me explaining my fucked-upness, which they tell me to put more effort into. Then they say I'm not on suspension, they made a mistake. Tuesday I go in to make sure I'm ok with their office (I still need to go to other offices to get things in order before I can even register), and they tell me, no, I am on suspension after all. What the hell kind of fucked up shit is that? So I have to go through all kinds of hell to get off suspension by finishing up a class, get registered, make sure my financial aid comes in, pay off grad stuff, and make sure I can get paid since I have to be registered to get a check, all before Friday.

Totally, totally pissed. This happens to me every year, and I'm happy to say it's so not always my fault. Despite the oppressive ugliness, I've been doing good getting my stuff in check. I'm not making resolutions, like I said before, which really helps.

I love this comic from Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. Professor evaluations are the one time students can so get back at a particular professor that just really didn't like himself and hated puppies. I was always wary about that confidential crap too.
